Once I have answered all your questions, I will provide you with prescriptions, written instructions and information about headaches. You will then start your personalized headache treatment program.

Every person is different. Some headache sufferers are experiencing rebound headaches which require more aggressive treatment. It will be necessary to stop all the drugs that cause more headaches. Stopping these medications may not be easy and may require outpatient treatment or hospitalization. Many may need only dietary, exercise and stress management.

All patients need a complete evaluation to excluded complicating medical and neurological diseases. This evaluation will include MRI of the brain, an EEG, an EKG and screening laboratory studies. These studies may be done by your family doctor.

All of your follow-up appointments are important. For the best results consider this a program that requires completion of each step for success.

Prescriptions are provided at each visit. There are no prescriptions called to a pharmacy. If you misplace a handwritten prescription, you will have to return to the office for another one.

Hello. My name is Cyndi. I will be the one to schedule all of your appointments. It is important for your primary care physician to be involved in your headache care. For that reason, we ask that you notify their office of your decision to seek treatment at our clinic. We will then contact that office for all the necessary referral information. When you come in for your initial visit, we encourage you to bring recent laboratory, EKG, brain scans or EEG reports with you. After you have scheduled your initial visit, I will mail you a brochure and give you explicit directions to the office located in Phoenix. When you arrive, there will be minimal paperwork. Once all forms are completed and signed, I will collect your portion of the office fee.

I will see you again at the end of your visit to schedule all of your follow-up appointments.

Hello. Once you have completed the forms in the front office, We will be taking your initial medical history and checking your vital signs. After your consultation with Dr Foster, We will help you with arrangements for medical testing and discuss your treatment plan. You may want the testing done in your family physician's office for insurance coverage. We will be available for any questions. Just call the office. All medical advice is closely supervised by Dr. Foster. We return routine calls twice a day, however, if someone is having urgent problems that call is taken immediately.

I will handle all your insurance and billing questions. I will also be responsible for getting referrals and medication authorizations when necessary. If your insurance requires a referral, it is your responsibility to contact me prior to your office visit to confirm that we have the required authorization number. This office is contracted with the following insurance companies: CCN and Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO. Please contact me for updates regarding participating insurance companies.

Even if this office is not contracted with your insurance company, I would encourage you to seek treatment with our office. There are a number of ways to approach the financial aspects of your care. You may want to see Dr. Foster for an initial consultation then continue care with your current physician and simply return to this office for dietary management. Please do not let money stand in the way of getting the care that can help you control your migraine.
